COURCHEVEL
Courchevel, in the French Alps, is arguably France’s premier ski resort. It forms
part of Les Trois Vallees, considered the largest linked ski area in the world, and
is a popular playground for many celebrities. The resort is split into five villages;
Courchevel 1850, 1650, 1550, Courchevel Le Praz and La Tania. The ski area is varied
and challenging with 600km of pistes across the 3 Valleys, including the snow sure
Val Thorens where skiing is possible up to 3200m.
Courchevel boasts eleven luxury hotels with a 5* ranking and a further two which
feature on France’s extremely prestigious shortlist of eight, 6* hotels. There are
a number of Michelin star restaurants and luxury shops including Hermès, Louis
Vuitton and Dior among others. Despite being known for excellent skiing, there are
a number of non-skiing activities available and a multi-million euro aquatic centre
was built two years ago.
