Everything you need to know and do The Renters’ Rights Bill was introduced to Parliament in September 2024, and it’s expected the Bill will come into force during summer or autumn 2025. The Bill will affect you if you already have, or are agreeing, an Assured Short- hold Tenancy (AST). The Bill brings many changes which you should be aware of before you agree a new AST tenancy or renew an existing one. It’s important to know this guide reflects the current legislation and not the future legislation as it will be when the Renters’ Rights Bill comes into force.
